Smithing

Blacksmithing is used for both smelting ores to create metallic bars and crafting materials into other metal items. Smelting requires ore and usually coal while interacting with a furnace. Glass items can also be blown, from using sand at the furnace and using the resultant molten glass at the anvil. All other finalized products require bars and interacting with anvil after the smelting step. It is recommended to wear Blacksmithing boots while smelting at the furnace as this will decrease failure rate. "Blacksmithing" refers to the overall skill while "smithing" can refer to the crafting of items directly from bars at the anvil, or as shorthand for "blacksmithing".
